Did you ever read Tolstoy's War & Peace? I remember you having to read some lengthy russian novel for a course but I can't recall which one. I ask because I'm 'thinking' about plowing my way through it and wondered if it would be worth the effort....yes, I even like forcing myself to read.

I read Dostoevsky's Crime & Punishment, and Tolstoy's Death of Ivan Illych for uni, both of which were very good.
